UC Merced's Ilan Group (2017)
In graduate school, I was in Prof. Ilan's Waves group. From the left, Prof. İzzet Göksel, Prof. Boaz Ilan (PI), me, and Prof. Christine Hoffman.
Central Valley Regional SIAM Student Chapter Conference (2017)
Dr. Alex John Quijano listens intently as I present my research poster, "Band-gap asymptotics for PT-symmetric linear Schrödinger equations with complex periodic potentials."
Samuel Shinkle Taylor (1886-1956)
This is a photo of my great-grandfather, Samuel. He was the first mathematician in my family. Samuel "was head of the Department of Education at Philander Smith College from 1927 to 1929, and he taught mathematics at Dunbar Junior High School in the early 1930s" (Encyclopedia of Arkansas) I've never had the pleasure of meeting him, but he's been a great influence to me.
Graduate School Cohort = Lifelong Friends
This is a picture of us before we were all doctors (PhDs). From the left, Dr. Matea Santiago, me, Dr. Fabian Santiago, Dr. Omar DeGuchy, and Dr. Alex John Quijano.
Best Friends
I've known these two strong women since I was a child, Ingrid Saavedra and Julissa Espindola.
Family
These are my siblings. They each inspire me in their own different ways. From the left, Shawn Taylor, Davetta Botley, and Chanel Taylor (Charles Taylor, Jr, not pictured).
Day at Monterey, CA!
My parents and I at the Monterey Bay Fisherman's Wharf. This is an old haunt of ours. We always end up here somehow!
Kitty Love
I'm holding my fur-baby, Norm, and my parents' fur-babies, Louis V. and Prada!
My former hiding spot at UC Merced
My hiding spot when I was a student at UC Merced. I could tell you where it is, but then I'd have to silence you. Just kidding, it's behind Sciences & Engineering II.
